Later, he was approached by Mark Zuckerberg to lead Facebook's acquisition of Instagram. He thanked Mark for his confidence but responded, "I feel like the market for providing daily humorous anecdotes about Orinda to a handful of local readers is a larger market than that of a platform that allows people to share pictures. I can see this as something that could be damaging to one's self-esteem. Especially for teens," stated Mr. Goldstone in an interview with Wired.
